It was a mixed weekend for Holly as G-Fest came to Cadwell Park. This unique, narrow and undulating track, coupled with poor weather made for a challenging weekend for Holly and the Fox Motorsport team.
Positively, on Saturday Holly scored a career-best qualifying result, finishing 15th with three solid qualifying laps. She mirrored this position in the first race on Saturday afternoon. Sunday’s opener saw Holly have a great start only to be forced wide by her team mate Harry Moss. This set her on the back foot as she lost contact with the pack. From then onwards it was a question of limiting losses.
Given the worsening conditions, Holly elected not to start the finale round on Sunday afternoon.
August gives Holly and the team a chance to regroup before the series continues with its penultimate event of the season at Brands Hatch on September 8-10.
A tough weekend in some challenging conditions at times. We couldn’t find the pace this weekend but I’ve learnt from it and I’m now focusing on preparing for Brands Hatch in September.
