The moment of truth had arrived. After months of practice, race day or rather race weekend was upon us.
This challenging circuit came with a mixed bag of weather as well, making Holly’s inaugural races a true test and baptism of fire. Or rather rain! She was joined on the grid by her teammate and fellow rookie Harry Moss from Fox Motorsport.
Round One on Saturday saw Holly climb to 14th after starting 18th on the grid. Round Two on Monday morning, saw Holly achieve 17th place. However, it was in the final race that she notched up her best result. With the rain coming down and the track wet, she sensibly chose a tight line in the first corner. In doing so, she skilfully avoided a number of multi-car incidents to climb nine places to ninth and ran competitively throughout, eventually finishing a very credible 13th in difficult conditions.
Harry also scored his best finish of the weekend in the last race with 12th overall.
All three rounds were won by an impressive Freddie Slater of R Racing.
